H02: Service-Learning (Hungry Minds)
In this session you will be introduced to the experience-based learning approach outlining the relevance of action and reflection for academic teaching and learning. One common approach of experiential learning is service-learning (SL) that combines students community service action with academic learning. It focuses on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsibility. We will start with a general description of the SL-approach. We continues with some practical examples.
